Eat-sum-more rusks.

My family loved this recipe.
I have translated for you from the Afrikaans group. Not my own but have baked this and it’s delicious.

Method.
Beat well together
500g butter (any bake margarine like Stork and Rama)
500ml sugar
2 large egg’s

Add
2 cups lukewarm water

Sift together

1.5kg self raising flour (+- 11 cups)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 t salt
Mix all together well
Press in baking tin or roll balls and bake by 180 for +- an hour . Check from 35 min until golden brown.
I have added fine chopped nuts and raisens sometimes.

You can now cut as per pic and dry out in oven.
