Ingredients
– 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
– 4 large eggs (room temperature)
– 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
– 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
