DELICIOUS CUSTARD CREAMS

INGREDIENTS

200g butter (room temperature)
¾ Cup icing sugar
1½ Cups plain flour
½ Cup Custard powder
1 egg
pinch of salt
Castor sugar for coating

METHOD

*Whisk butter and icing sugar until light and creamy
* Add beaten egg and mix well
*In a separate bowl mix flour,Custard powder and salt
*Add flour mixture into butter mixture and mix well do not knead
*Make balls and roll in castor sugar
*Place in a greased tray and style with fork
* Bake in preheated oven 180°C

For the cream

* Cream ½ cup softened butter,2 cups sifted icing sugar,1½ tsp vanilla extract and 2 tbsp milk
*Mix until smooth and fluffy.
*Pipe the cream on to the cookies but allow them to cool completely before piping cream.
