First try at making turtle bark..oh my! Tastes like a turtle candy but took about 5 minutes to make.
I made a small batch for the first try at it.
Recipe
16 ounces or so if your favorite chocolate
1 bag of carmel bits (16 ounces )
Chopped pecans
Melt the chocolate and carmel separately. Pour the chocolate, swirl the carmel, and add the pecans and pressing the mixture.
Next batch will have a stream of carmel in the top so it is more noticeable.
Note—you have to work fast with the carmel. I think I will leave it over my water bath the next time to keep it more pliable.
It tastes excellent.
